Morrisville-based Medfusion's founder and CEO, Steve Malik, has
purchased the 21,000-square-foot Gingko Square office building on
Raleigh's Dale Street, where he intends to move the Internet software
company's 34 employees. Malik says his 13,000-square-foot lease in
Perimeter Park was coming due when low interest rates lured him to
adopt a landlord title himself. He purchased the building for $1.375
million from Franklin and Cynthia Smith. Other tenants in the building
include Manpower and two state government-related agencies.
Medfusion will occupy about 7,500 square feet in the building initially.
Ownership will allow for growth in the future.
